Finding my way back in your life

MAN, IT FEELS GOOD TO BE BACK! And this timez for realz! New laptop? Check. Hella inspiration? Check. Stuff fixed? Check. New hair? Double check. I know, I know, it's been a very long time since I've blogged and you have the idea that we've grown apart. But let me explain everything and make it up to you. We've been together for so long. Much happened and I will all explain it to you cause you deserve to know. It will only take you 3 minutes!
(I promise. I was listening to Coldplay - The Scientist (for some extra drama) when I was reading everything back and I finished reading before the song was finished.)

Event: Collection PRC Fashion Show - Backstage

A while ago I attended the Collection PRC fashion show at Little Buddha in Amsterdam. Collection PRC is a clothing line by Maria Tailor en Tamara Elbaz, also known from the Dutch show Modemeisjes (translated: Fashion Girls). Because my computer broke down, I couldn't write about it any sooner (ARGH), but better late than never, right? And I promise, I have some amazing pictures for you! There's no doubt the hair & make-up will inspire you, as they have inspired me too.

Prepare yourself: this post contains some hella beautiful ladies!

Especially when you have curls it's essential that you don't wash your hair every day. Unless you want to end up with really dry hair, of course, that's up to you, you know.. But I know you don't want that, so here's a tip to skip another day of washing your hair, without your curls looking all silly or dreadlock-ish!  Oh, and this tip works for other hair types as well! I say: you must read it.

Sal's Sunday Solutions: An easy tip to make your hair grow faster without using anything

Growing out your hair is a hard thing to do and usually a long process. Some girls are just blessed with long hair and some other girls have to work a little extra for it. Today I will be sharing a free (!!) beauty secret to make your hair grow a little faster and stronger.

Laser hair removal: the pros, the cons & more!*

We all want that hairless body that doesn't need any maintenance. And a few of us are blessed with a hairless  face & body (keep in mind that I envy you.)
But for the ladies (and gents, why not) who want to have a silky smooth body, but are *ahum* blessed with strong hair growth, like me, you know hair removal can give you a hard time.
There are many ways to remove hair from your face and body. You can think of shaving, waxing, threading (maybe not for the body, unless you’re a VERY patient person) and laser hair removal. They all have their pros and cons, but all in all, I think laser hair removal wins by far!

Keep on reading to find out about the pros & cons, and I also wrote about a little experience.

Beauty Tip: How to use oil in your hair

Every girl has her beauty secrets and I'm actually willing to share them! Coming from a rich culture that has a big focus on beauty, I have quite a few tricks up my sleeve. Every Sunday I will share a beauty tip with my lovely readers!

As you all know I'm a big fan of putting oil in my hair instead of hair masks. A few girls asked me what oils to use, how you get the best results and how you use an oil in your hair. It's very easy, my dear ladies! Just keep on reading :)

5 must have natural oils!

As most of you probably know I'm a big fan of natural oils, mainly for my hair. So when Janine from TheAmazingWorldOfJ looked for a guest blogger and asked if I could write about my natural oil experiences, I jumped at the chance!

Today I’ll be discussing the 5 must have oils in a nutshell. Keep on reading!

All the curly ladies, all the curly ladies

Curls are a world of a difference. If you have curly hair, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Every day it's a gamble; how will my curls turn out today? It's more stressful than a game of poker, trust me! For years I didn't know how to cope with my curls and therefore a flat iron was my best friend. I think this sounds familiar too for most curly ladies. Today I share some of my tips to handle your beautiful curls!

Beautyblog: Lash miracle part II

A few days ago I wrote about the Wonder Oil that makes your eyelashes grow. Here's an addition to that article.

The Wonder Oil is also known as Castor oil. The oil has a very thick structure. You can water it down with some almond oil. This has a nourishing effect as well! It's used in a lot of cosmetics. I'm only going to focus on the effect of external use of Castor oil.

I have done some research about this oil, because originally it's used as a laxative, in case of internal use. But it seems that it's effective on problem skin and it makes hair grow (faster) too! That's good news for the ladies with a bad haircut.

A while ago my mom suffered from food poisoning. This made her eyebrows fall out. She had thicker eyebrows than I have. Drawing them back on just wasn't an option. So I told her to use the oil on her eyebrows, since it worked on my lashes too. She could at least try it, right? She used it every night for about a week and the results were incredible. Her eyebrows grew back! They grew back thicker than before. So the oil doesn't only make your eyelashes longer, but it also makes your eyebrows thicker. I have a little gap in one of my eyebrows and I started used the oil on it, so as soon as I see results, i'll let you guys know!

Not only your eyebrows and eyelashes take advantage of this wonderful oil, but your hair also. I haven't experienced it yet, but it seems that the Castor Oil makes your hair grow faster, thicker and more healthy. Apparently when one of your hair falls out and you're using Castor oil, the new hair that grows back will grow back thicker than the old hair. Besides that it's nourishing for the scalp too. To use this oil on your head, you apply some on your scalp only, because washing it out is a hell of a job. After you massaged it on your scalp, put a cloth or towel on your head and wait for about an hour before you wash it out. You can water it down with some almond oil if you think the Castor oil is too thick.

What I have also read is that it's very useful for acne, swimmer's itch, wrinkles (especially around the eye area), warts, eczema and hard skin on your feet. BUT it's never scientific tested or proven. These are only observations of people who have used it for those purposes. Besides everyone reacts differently on it.

I bought my bottle of 110 ml at a local drugstore for €2 something. It was very cheap! Since it has a very thick structure, you only use a little. So it takes a while before you run out of product! The ingredient is Oleum Ricini. Warning: this oil should not be used by pregnant women without consulting your doctor. (I don't know if it counts for external or internal use, but I don't want anything on my conscience!)

Haha, I wrote a lot more than I expected. I hope this article has been useful to you. If you have any questions, don't be a stranger and ask me! :)
