FOTD: Only Want To See You Laughing With The Purple Stain

Purple has got to be my new favourite colour when it comes to lips. Purple has always been a favourite colour in general, when it comes to make-up. But a new obsession is born and purple lipz it iz!

Check out this fresh and cool, yet sultry look with a purple/berry lip!

OOTD & FOTD: Soft & Sweet for Eid

After a month of fasting (Ramadan) it was Eid al Fitr on August 7th! If you're not familiar with this religious holiday, you can click the link and you'll end up on the Wikipedia page with info.

It's a day of good food and family and that's also how I celebrated my Eid. Someone requested a post on my outfit and make-up so here it is! I have to say that isn't that big this year, because we only went to my grandma. The rest of the family was abroad.

Enjoy the pictures of my outfit & make-up!

FOTD: Take A Tribal Dive

A real challenge is to make a Tribal inspired make-up look wearable and that's what I went for. It's a simple, yet exotic, bronzed look with the right amount "pop of colour". I bet you want to see and read the details about this look!

FOTD: Bohemian Breeze

Soft colours, bronze skin, curls/waves.. That's what crosses my mind when I think of Bohemian. I might be wrong there, but interpretations are different per person, right? Based on those thoughts I did this very soft, bohemian inspired make-up look!

FOTD: Black & White makes Monochrome Maquillage

Monochrome inspired make-up: a theme that was quite abstract, but I did know what I wanted to do. I wanted black, white, red, and tight lines. Just black and white seemed a bit boring, hence the added colour.

For this week I also decided to skip the Sunday Solutions and I will explain that too in this post.

I have many pictures for you, so keep on reading!

FOTD: I live for fur - I worship fur (Cruella de Vil)

My faith in your limited intelligence is momentarily restored.
-
I've seen more intelligent pieces of carpet!
-
Congratulations. You three have just won the Gold, Silver and Bronze in the Morons Olympics!

The most evil lady you can imagine, but mannn, you gotta love her for her statements! Who I'm talking about? Well, Cruella de Vil of course! The cruel lady that's known for the everlasting hunt on the poor little stained puppies for their beautiful fur.

Cruel or not, she did inspire me for this make-up look!

FOTD: Can I find my Ken looking like Barbie?

I'm a Barbie girl, in the Barbie world
Life in plastic, it's fantastic!
You can brush my hair, undress me everywhere
Imagination, life is your creation°

Still doesn't ring a bell? I bet it does if you're a 90's kid! Or if you just love Barbie.
Well, as if it wasn't obvious yet: this week I have a Barbie doll inspired make up look!

FOTD: Suga suga, how you get so fly?°

When I think of sweets I think pink, yellow, (other) bright colours, sugar and way too active kids. Luckily I didn't have to cope with those kids when doing this look, but I did get inspired by the candy I used to eat when I was a kid myself. And yes, candy back in the 90's was this bright. I don't want to know what they put in it..

Anyways, a very, verrrry bright look for you guys - and fully budgetproof! I went a little crazy, but it was a long time since I did so.

Tim Burton Series (collaboration with DejaZu) - Romantic Goth

When Deja from DejaZu came up with the idea of a Tim Burton collaboration, I couldn't say no. A collaboration with Deja? Tim Burton inspired? I say yes yes YES!
We decided to do 4 themes, one on each Friday, so stick around if you'd like to see our looks :)

This week it's all about the Romantic Goth. Click to see more pictures!

Tutorial: Purple ombre/Ursula eyelook

Many requested a tutorial of the Ombre/Ursula makeup look and here it is! Keep in mind that you can go as heavy as you want with this look. You can also keep it soft!
But you know I like me a little drama in my makeup, so I'm showing you how to do the dramatic version, as shown above!

Oh and don't worry: it's easier than it looks!

FOTD: What I want is nothing.. Just your voice

This look was for a makeup tag. The theme was 'ombre'.
But I also got inspired by something else. Someone else, to be precise! She's big, she's fabulous and she is - of course - evil!
Maybe you'll know who it is if I quote her: "I'm not asking much. Just a token really, a trifle. You'll never even miss it. What I want from you is... your voice."

Do you have an idea? No? Yes? Ah, just continue reading! :)

FOTD: NYE 2012/2013 - Mayan calendar, my behind!

 photo cfcghgfvh_zps608f3353.png

In this post I'm just going to act like New Year was last week, because that's how it still feels like! Even though it's almost February..
Anyway, even though the Maya people predicted the end of the world at December 21st, I'm pretty sure these pictures are from December 31st. Baha, we survived the end of the world like it was nothing. Get it? Because it was nothing? No..? Okay, then just have a look at the pictures of my makeup!

EOTD/FOTD: “We Pisces, we're a special breed.”*

Photobucket

A Pisces is hard to pin down, it is very mysterious and elusive. Pisces is the sign of love.
Pisces is an artist and a dreamer. They have the best creativity of the zodiac.
And the zodiac sign of all cool people, duh.

Just kidding! But the Zodiac sign did inspire me for this makeup look.
Another weekly makeup tag organized by Aqeela and I'm eager to show you more pictures

FOTD: Wearing red lipstick is easier than you think! (7 full face looks)

Photobucket

Many girls tell me they find red lipstick absolutely beautiful, but they are afraid to actually wear it. Have no fear, because the holidays are here! The perfect moment to try out that red lipstick. But how do you combine red lips with the rest of your makeup? A problem I've heard pretty often, actually!
So today I have 7 looks for you, with the classic red lips!

FOTD: Frustrated with my life in the palace

IMG_2541
Another makeup tag!
I'll give you a few hints for this week's makeup: my daddy is chubby and way too jolly. I'm in love with a boy that lives on the streets, has a pet monkey and sees ghosts. My pet is a big tiger.

Any ideas? Anyhow, click to see the theme and the pictures of my princess look.
Oops! Spoiled a little!

EOTD: When autumn leaves start to fall (tutorial)

Autumn outfits, autumn manicures, autumn makeup. Autumn is everywhere! Unfortunately I’m not here to break the cliché, but to confirm the season. Here’s a tutorial for an everyday autumn smokey eye!

FOTD: 1001 A r a b i a n Nights (tutorial)

Looks like I caught the A r a b fever again! I think we have a favourite make up look, you guys! Not to wear daily, bien sûr. Did my mysterious picture got you curious? (Sorry about that, I got a little carried away..)

Keep on reading for more pictures and.. a tutorial!

FOTD: Red lips speaking straight from the shoulder

Today I'd like to share my simple and most favourite makeup look.

But.. Huh? Sal? Is that you? Or am I stranded on a different blog?
No, no, it is me. Just changed my hairdo!

Bye bye, playful curls. Hellooooo, glamorous hairdo!

I'm talkin' about blue eyes, blue eyes. What's the matter, matter?

A smokey eye, but a liiiitle bit different. I like to play with colours every now and then, but I also love to play with the contrast between light and dark colours. As a brown-eyed girl I consider myself lucky! Most colours go well with my eyecolour.

Got curious how I did this smokey eye? Keep on reading for a tutorial!

FOTD: Super Paki Palette & Corresponding Eyelook!

A while ago my neighbour gave me an eyeshadow palette, because she knew I love to spend my time playing with makeup. I never really looked at the palette, since it looked a bit.. Well, I didn't have high hopes of the palette. As you can see, the package has got scratches all over it. I wasn't really careful with it. I played a bit with it sometimes, but never really swatched it. Until today and I LOVE the palette!!! Keep on reading to know more about this palette and to see an eyelook I did!
