Of course it's important to avoid sunburn, but what to do when it happened anyway?

Sal's Sunday Solutions: What (underwear) to wear under white clothes?

Summer means wearing light colours, mainly white. But with white clothes comes the big question: what underwear do you wear?! If your answer is black or red, my answer is NO. Stop doing that, because you actually CAN see your red and black underwear through white. And white under white isn't a solution either. So what is? The answer is not always very sexy, but very simple...

Sal's Sunday Solutions: Quick fix for a broken nail

Every girl has coped with this at least once:  you broke your nail and there's no nail file around. As if that's not bad enough, you won't be home until the end of the day and the day just started! Oh and it gets worse: your nail ripped your new blouse and your tights, because it's so sharp. Damn it! You knew you shouldn't have thrown that nail file out of your bag! Sal's Sunday Solutions: Delicious, chapped lips

According to the calendar it's supposed to be Spring, but when I look outside I start questioning the seasons. And life. I don't know about you guys, but here in the Netherlands it just looks like Autumn. And our body reacts on it too. So here's a tip for chapped lips, even though it's Spring!

The usual tip you get is: scrub them lips. I have a different tip for you today. An easy and a delicious one too! For chapped lips apply honey on your lips. Honey contains vitamins, minerals, protein and other qualities that keep the moisture in that can repair the top layer of your skin. Honey has anti-inflammatory qualities and using honey as a mask for your lips is a good idea!

So if your lips feel like they can use a little extra love, put some honey on them!

What do you use when your lips are chapped, besides lip balm?

No more The Joker inspired lips!

Many women cope with the problem that lipstick bleeds easily: so did I. I've tried a million things: lip pencil, lip primers, concealer/foundation, skipping non matte lipsticks.. Those things didn't help, but what did help was this little trick. It's easy and almost every makeup user has one in her stash: using an eyeshadow base. How to use it and how it works? Keep on reading!

Beautytip: Control the forest above your eyes

For some reason your eyebrows refuse to be tamed. And you're in a hurry too! What oh what to do? Simple.
If you can't find your eyebrow gel or you don't use one like me (my eyebrows refuse to cooperate with gel, they're rebellious as can be) I have a simple tip for you! Use hairspray. Hairspray? Yes, hairspray. Before you start spraying your face with hairspray like a crazy person, continue reading how to use it.

Beauty Tip: Eyes, Face, Lips - in that order!

Source

About 90% of the beauty bloggers and YouTubers start with doing their face make up: foundation, concealer, blush, etc. In some way it makes sense. You get the canvas ready, before you can start painting on it. But I'm here to tell you that you should switch the order & why!

Beauty tip: Lush lips without the greasiness

Your lips lack hydration. No matter how often you use lip balm, they still feel like the Sahara dessert. It's not that your lips are flaky, they just feel very, very dry. For you I have this quick tip today!

This is something I found out by accident, but I do it very often. Use your eye cream for your lips! Yes, you read that right. The moisturiser you use on your eyes is perfect to be used on your lips as well. I love using this in the mornings, when I know I have a long day. The cream doesn't leave a greasy layer like lip balm, but it still hydrates your lips and you only need a little! Don't worry, the eye creams are gentle. After all, they take care of your eyes too. Just don't eat it. It doesn't taste as good as most lip balms!

A little extra lovin'

Sometimes when I feel my lips really need a little extra love, I scrub them and after I put a thick layer of eye cream on my lips (when I don't use an oil. I love using that too). Then I go to sleep with this "lip mask". I use Nivea Aqua Sensation (see on the picture).
Even though I love using natural oils on my lips, this is something I find as helpful as the oils I normally use.

Just a quick beauty tip on this beautiful Sunday. So after hydrating the area around your eyes, put what's left on your fingers on your lips!

What is your little secret to keep them lips hydrated?
