OOTD: Aztecdam

First of all: thank you for bearing with me! I hope to get my computer back soon, all fixed and well. Until then, I try to post as soon as I can :)

So for this post I have an outfit for y'all. A little late, since this is the outfit I wore to the Hairloxx event, but that's okay. It's a simple outfit, but I got the request to post more OOTDs, so here it is! :)
The event and this "photoshoot" were in Amsterdam. My pants reminded me of aztec prints (I am aware that this is not aztec, don't worry).

So have a look at my Aztecdam outfit!

OOTD: Monochrome Ma'am

What's better than a monochrome outfit? Right, nothing. Nothing beats the colours white, grey and black. Please, do not try to discuss with me whether black and white are colours or not. Scientists are debating this subject for years and I agree with the scientists who say that black & white are colours!

Sorry, lost my focus there. A while ago I went to the Inglot pop-up store in Rotterdam and this is my outfit. I bet you want to see more of these pictures, so you better click to continue reading!

Review: Benefit They're Real! mascara

There's no beauty lover who hasn't heard about the Benefit They're Real! mascara. The much hyped mascara is everywhere and it claims everything. "Statistics" show that 94% saw dramatic length & volume, 90% saw base-to-tip curl, 94% saw visible lift and 100% saw long-wearing results. Oh, results observed in a consumer panel survey, but I can't find how many testers there were! (94% of 1000 is a lot more reliable than 94% of 50 people.. Just saying..)

ANYWHOOOO, check out MY review of this mascara! I have thick lashes, so I wondered..

Review: Schwarzkopf Got2B Sparkling shine hairspray

This week I'm reviewing the Schwarzkopf Got2B Shine hairspray. And I can tell you one thing: this hairspray is one that tickles your senses! Keep on reading!

FOTD: Take A Tribal Dive

A real challenge is to make a Tribal inspired make-up look wearable and that's what I went for. It's a simple, yet exotic, bronzed look with the right amount "pop of colour". I bet you want to see and read the details about this look!

FOTD: Bohemian Breeze

Soft colours, bronze skin, curls/waves.. That's what crosses my mind when I think of Bohemian. I might be wrong there, but interpretations are different per person, right? Based on those thoughts I did this very soft, bohemian inspired make-up look!

FOTD: Black & White makes Monochrome Maquillage

Monochrome inspired make-up: a theme that was quite abstract, but I did know what I wanted to do. I wanted black, white, red, and tight lines. Just black and white seemed a bit boring, hence the added colour.

For this week I also decided to skip the Sunday Solutions and I will explain that too in this post.

I have many pictures for you, so keep on reading!

FOTD: I live for fur - I worship fur (Cruella de Vil)

My faith in your limited intelligence is momentarily restored.
-
I've seen more intelligent pieces of carpet!
-
Congratulations. You three have just won the Gold, Silver and Bronze in the Morons Olympics!

The most evil lady you can imagine, but mannn, you gotta love her for her statements! Who I'm talking about? Well, Cruella de Vil of course! The cruel lady that's known for the everlasting hunt on the poor little stained puppies for their beautiful fur.

Cruel or not, she did inspire me for this make-up look!

OOTD: Red Blazer, Blazing Lips

Give this girl a red lipstick and the colour black and she's the happiest girl alive. BUT, now it's time to give up black. Yes, the time has come. I'm still one for classic colours and "less is more" and those are things I won't give up. But for now: less black!

And this post it's more pictures and less chit chat! Check it out yourselfff

OOTD: Black, gold & curls will rock your world

Before you look at the pictures, I have a confession to make. I got this post planned for 2 weeks. How horrible is that? I think Trudy, who took these pictures, is mad at me by now and probably doesn’t want to take me on OOTD-quests anymore.. EXCUZA AUNTY TRUDY! It won’t happen again, I’m sorry!

Anyway, it’s been a while but I got another outfit post for you guys! A simple one, but can I just say that I love the pictures? It takes an amazing photographer for that (THANK YOU AUNTY TRUDY). We discovered that we have quite some beautiful places in my neighborhood too.

Have a look!

FOTD: Can I find my Ken looking like Barbie?

I'm a Barbie girl, in the Barbie world
Life in plastic, it's fantastic!
You can brush my hair, undress me everywhere
Imagination, life is your creation°

Still doesn't ring a bell? I bet it does if you're a 90's kid! Or if you just love Barbie.
Well, as if it wasn't obvious yet: this week I have a Barbie doll inspired make up look!

FOTD: Suga suga, how you get so fly?°

When I think of sweets I think pink, yellow, (other) bright colours, sugar and way too active kids. Luckily I didn't have to cope with those kids when doing this look, but I did get inspired by the candy I used to eat when I was a kid myself. And yes, candy back in the 90's was this bright. I don't want to know what they put in it..

Anyways, a very, verrrry bright look for you guys - and fully budgetproof! I went a little crazy, but it was a long time since I did so.

Tim Burton Series (collaboration with DejaZu) - Romantic Goth

When Deja from DejaZu came up with the idea of a Tim Burton collaboration, I couldn't say no. A collaboration with Deja? Tim Burton inspired? I say yes yes YES!
We decided to do 4 themes, one on each Friday, so stick around if you'd like to see our looks :)

This week it's all about the Romantic Goth. Click to see more pictures!

EOTD: I DO! But only if I can cake my face

For some reason I haven't posted this look! A few weeks ago the Weekly Makeup Tag's theme was "Wedding". Usually that means soft makeup and nothing "too much". Too bad my culture thinks otherwise! (Too bad? I don't think it's too bad hihi)
The more, the better. I tried to keep it down a bit, but I just couldn't do a wedding look without the famous heavy black liner!

GFC IS NOT DISAPPEARING!!! (yet?) READ THIS!

There has been a lot of panic on Twitter (nothing new…) about Google Friend Finder disappearing. Let me start by saying GFC is NOT disappearing (yet)!!!!!!!!!!
Unlike other bloggers who scream and shout “what they heard”, I actually went to investigate it. That’s how it works, people. If you want to know something you either ask or you investigate. You don’t draw your own conclusions.
On Google’s blog there’s a list of things that are going to change. It says that the Google READER is retiring. Reader, not Friend Connect. You can read the paragraph here:

We launched Google Reader in 2005 in an effort to make it easy for people to discover and keep tabs on their favorite websites. While the product has a loyal following, over the years usage has declined. So, on July 1, 2013, we will retire Google Reader. Users and developers interested in RSS alternatives can export their data, including their subscriptions, with Google Takeout over the course of the next four months.

FOTD: What I want is nothing.. Just your voice

This look was for a makeup tag. The theme was 'ombre'.
But I also got inspired by something else. Someone else, to be precise! She's big, she's fabulous and she is - of course - evil!
Maybe you'll know who it is if I quote her: "I'm not asking much. Just a token really, a trifle. You'll never even miss it. What I want from you is... your voice."

Do you have an idea? No? Yes? Ah, just continue reading! :)

EOTD: The Fierce Peacock

You all know I like to get a little carried away when I do themed makeup looks. I mean look at my Marilyn Monroe look and my Arabic inspired makeup look, and even my princess Jasmine look. That's just me and I'm not sorry!
For this week's makeup tag I didn't pose like a peacock, but I did grab some accessories. And my camera took amazing pictures this time, wow!

EOTD: My Funny Valentine

February 14th, the "day of love". Even though I think it's a marketing holiday, I still did a Valentine look. It was this week's theme of Aqeela's makeuptag
I kept it simple, but sweet, so stay tuned for more pictures and a little bonus!

5 must have natural oils!

As most of you probably know I'm a big fan of natural oils, mainly for my hair. So when Janine from TheAmazingWorldOfJ looked for a guest blogger and asked if I could write about my natural oil experiences, I jumped at the chance!

Today I’ll be discussing the 5 must have oils in a nutshell. Keep on reading!

EOTD/FOTD: “We Pisces, we're a special breed.”*

Photobucket

A Pisces is hard to pin down, it is very mysterious and elusive. Pisces is the sign of love.
Pisces is an artist and a dreamer. They have the best creativity of the zodiac.
And the zodiac sign of all cool people, duh.

Just kidding! But the Zodiac sign did inspire me for this makeup look.
Another weekly makeup tag organized by Aqeela and I'm eager to show you more pictures
