Tim Burton Series (collaboration with DejaZu) - Romantic Goth

When Deja from DejaZu came up with the idea of a Tim Burton collaboration, I couldn't say no. A collaboration with Deja? Tim Burton inspired? I say yes yes YES!
We decided to do 4 themes, one on each Friday, so stick around if you'd like to see our looks :)

This week it's all about the Romantic Goth. Click to see more pictures!

Tim Burton.. Such an inspiration. His movies for example are my favourite! So no way I'd refuse this TB inspired series. Too bad I didn't start the series the way I wanted to. I was having a major bad-makeup-day. You know those days that you can't even apply mascara? Yes. I had the same thing. I literally started over 4(!!) times, before I decided that I should just stop trying, or my eye will fall off because of all the makeup removing.

I decided to go for a soft smokey eye. As if it wasn't bad enough that my eye almost fell off my face because of my perfectionism, the pictures didn't came out the way I wanted either. I'll describe the look: it's a very dark smokey eye with hints of blue (even though it doesn't show). I softened the eyeliner with some eyeshadow, because I didn't want to go for a harsh line this time. I got a little Corpse Bride inspired, so besides the hints of blue, I also decided to go for big eyes. I contoured my face and for the romantic touch I applied a soft pink blush and a berry lipstick.

Here's a sneak peek of Deja's look, but there's more on her blog of course. Have a look at Deja's Romantic Goth look and make sure you show her some love too! Because there's no way you can deny that she's awesome :)

On to the look!

All in all, even though my perfectionism took over, I am a little satisfied with my look :) Memo to self: next time don't use a BB cream with SPF when you know you're going to take pictures with flash, sigh.. I keep doing it every time.

Until next Friday!

Like I said: I LOVE IT. If you wouldn't tell us, you had to do it 4 times and it was your bad makeup day, I wouldn't now. But the most important thing is, that you didn't stop! Never a failure always a lesson :P Love collaborating with you too! Getting all excited about next week!
Sending kisses and hugs to my favourite person and your red eye!
