After 20 minutes you're FINALLY done with your nails. You gave them the perfect colour and wow.. You've done an amazing job this time! Wait, just quick a picture of your nails with your phone, for Instagram. Everyone needs to know how perfect your nails look. Aaaaaaaaaand there you have it. You smudged your nails, darn! Now you can start all over, because once you touch nail polish remover to fix one nail, all the other nails get ruined too!
No no no, put back the nail polish remover, because aunty Sal has got another beauty tip for you!
And this one's so easy, you'll thank me a million times after reading!
There you have that bastard that ruined your entire mani! Put down that nail polish remover, my child, because you'll only need 3 things for this Sunday Solution: smudged nail polish, a finger and saliva. According to Wikipedia: Saliva is a watery substance located in the mouths of organisms, secreted by the salivary glands. You know, spit.
I'll tell you how to use your spit to fix your mutilated nail polish. I kid you not! Use this tip when your nail polish is still wet. This only works with saliva, not with water. I tried that too, but it doesn't work.
Step one - Wash your hands
We don't want those nasty bacterias in your mouth.
Step two - Lick your finger
Yes, your finger. Not your nail, your finger(top). Lick the finger you want to use to fix the nail polish. And again: DON'T lick your NAIL. Nail polish is not as tasty as it looks, I promise.
Step three - smooth over top of smudged nail with licked finger
Gently smooth the smudge out with your licked finger. Carefully blend it in until you can't see the smudged part anymore. Best part? You don't need another coat to hide anything if you did it right! Don't use too much pressure btw.
Bye bye, smudge!
For this post I used Catrice - 260 Blue's Brother. A beautiful mermaid-ish colour!
So basically what you do is you lick your finger and you go over your damaged nail. Never experience smudged nails again! Who would've thought that it could be this easy to save your manicure?
Your manicure will always look perfect, from now on!
What do you do when you smudge your nail polish?
