A while ago I saw a picture of galaxy nails and I just had to try it. It was actually a lot easier than I expected! Sharing is caring, so here's a new tutorial for you guys. Enjoy!
What you'll need:
- Dark nail polish, such as deep dark blue or black
- Light colour to create nebula
- Other bright colour
- Sponge
- Paper
- Glitter polish (or two)
- Top coat
This is what I used. From left to right: Catrice - 250 I Sea you!, Catrice - 320 Back To Black, Rimmel - 352 Posh Spice and Hema - 08 Glitter Topcoat. And a random sponge.
Use the light colour to creat the base of the nebula. I used a teal green-ish colour to start your space design. Tap it on in thin layers with the sponge. If you applied too much nailpolish on the sponge, just dab it off on the paper.
It may looks messy now, but just wait until you apply the topcoat. I combined the last two steps by using a glitter topcoat. Tip: you can use two glitter polishes with different size glitter. One with a bigger glitter and one with smaller glitter. This gives the illusion of dimension and distance.

And this is the result! It only took 15-20 minutes to make this look. It was my first attempt. I'm not entirely satisfied with the result, but I do like this galaxy look! Next time I'll use more colours for the nebula and instead of two coats of the same size glitter, I'm going to use two different glitter coats.
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial!
